So I know this isn't posted right after the concerts but I had a pretty busy week. Better late than never huh?
So the theme for our choir concert this year was culture songs from around the world. You know Mrs. Tawa and her themed concerts. ha :) Well Colla Voce sang Scarbrough Fair, two German Brahm songs, Pretty Little Horses, and Cover the World With Love. We sounded great! I love the feeling you get when you perform your music that you worked so hard on. If you've never had this feeling before, I suggest trying it :) We could have been a little bit louder but everyone makes mistakes.
I think the highlight of this concert was when all the choirs got together to perform Michael Jackson's Thriller! We even got to wear zombie costumes which I think just made the song even better! Each choir came on the stage, or in the aisles, dressed and walking like zombies. I hope that we scared some audience members. I think that it went by way too fast though because before I knew it, the song was over.
The next day was the orchestra Halloween concert. I was actually pretty excited for this concert! Since we got to dress up and I didn't want anyone to know what my actual Halloween costume was, I dressed up as a gangster with Ann Dee. We made some pretty great gangsters if I do say so myself :) We started the concert with The Hall of the Mountain King with a strobe light and everything! P.S. I don't like walking and playing the violin with a strobe light thanks.. The other pieces we played were; Autumn, A Little Bit of...Space...Time, Chorale in A Minor, Cruella De Vil, and March to the Scaffold. We sounded great even though some people chose to criticize us. Oh well..
Well the Fall concerts are over, bring on the Christmas music! :)

A day of rain
Thursday: A day full of friends, football, and rain.
Well I went to Kat's house to hang out with friends. Landon came over to get in the granny wagon and we were off! Well it turns out we got there before Athena and Anthony because Anthony is a slow poke! Well we were just sorta sitting in Kat's room and boy did Landon and Kat hit it off! They have so much in common and they're super good friends now. Who knew? Well Athena and Anthony finally came and guess what we did after that...we just sat there. Yep, sat there. But we talked which is almost as good as doing something crazy. Of course I didn't get to stay there for long because I had to get ready to cheer.
It was the last football game of the season and of course it was raining. Not just sprinkling, but pouring! And yes, we still had to cheer in it. So we had on our cheer uniforms, including the sleeves, our hoodies, and our cheer jackets. Even with all those layers we were still freezing and also scared that we were going to slip off our boxes! Good thing the rain stopped before half time so we didn't have to worry about it. Well after the football game was over we had to take our boxes back to the locker room and those Desert Hills boys are so nice they waited until we were done to go in the locker room! Thanks guys! :) But it was sad to see Bailee and Ashley crying! Poor seniors...at least we still have basketball season!

The day to relax
Today is Sunday, therefore, the day of church and relaxation :)
Well we had ward conference today in church which went great. It was a very inspiring day :) The talks in sacrament were wonderful even if some of them were just testimonies. Then we went to Sunday school which was very inspirational also. Let's just say that the whole church day was. We were combined as youth. That was probably one of my favorite lessons in church I've ever had. It was full of laughter and emotion. Logan Schmidt gave his testimony in which he cried. It was very powerful and brought the spirit to us. The teacher shared an amazing story with a great moral and even some funny parts :)
And now I'm listening to good ol' Broadway songs! I absolutely love Broadway! I'm glad I was given the opportunity to see a Broadway show in New York City a few years back. It was amazing! The song I hear while listening to the Broadway station that makes me laugh is Rich Man in the Fiddler on the Roof. A part of the song is posted on here so you can see just how wonderful it is! :) Enjoy!

Events on a Saturday
Today was a great day :) Full of fun and boredom at the same time! Wow...you can tell it's late and you're tired when you couldn't figure out how to spell the work boredom.
So today I went to the SUU homecoming parade. Gotta tell ya, I just love living in a college town! And not just for the fact it brings cute boys here...okay maybe that's my reason but still. I think it's a good one :) ha. Well I decided that the homecoming parade is probably one of the best parades our town has! Except when the college kids look at you and then just throw the candy to the little kids next to you and don't give you anything besides one little Tootsie Roll! :( It was bad news bears, let me tell ya...
A plus to my day was that I got to drive the granny wagon around town all day! My muscles are going to be amazing because of it! Gotta love driving a vehicle with no power steering.

This is what the granny wagon looks like. Pretty amazing isn't it? I think so! So I got to roll up everywhere in this singing to a Brooks and Dunn tape :)
Can I just say that I love Joann's? It's like heaven in there! I've been inspired to make many arts and crafts in my spare time because of that store. Now...to find the money to do all this.
So those were pretty much the highlights of my day because the rest of my day was where the boredom part came in. Great day? I think so!

The start of a blog
Well I decided to start a blog to share my life with people! Now let's see if I can remember to add new posts when exciting things happen! :)
I was actually inspired to start a blog by my friends Michelle and Amanda. I was just sitting on the computer and I remembered Michelle talking about her blog so I decided to check it out! I had so much fun reading her many life experiences and looking at her pictures. Her posts made me laugh and smile. Amanda also has a wonderful blog full of her amazing pictures. She is such a wonderful photographer and I'm just a wee bit jealous of her! She will go far with her skill. So thank you Michelle and Amanda for being my inspiration! :)
I had a very difficult time thinking of what to title my blog but then I decided to pick 'Tid Bits of Life' because that is something I would say and this blog is going to be about the wonderful and maybe not so wonderful things that happen in my life!
Live, Laugh, Love as it says on my blog is my life motto! It sums up my life perfectly and it's such a simple phrase! :)
